The Conservative Group for Europe is hosting a webinar with Dr Norbert Röttgen MP and CGE Chair, Rt Hon Sir David Lidington KCB CBE to discuss the German perspective on the challenges facing Europe and on how the German Presidency is seeking to shape the future of the Union.

Dr Norbert Röttgen MP has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 1994. He was appointed Legal Policy Spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in 2002, a position he held until 2005 when he became 1st Parliamentary Director of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group.

Dr Röttgen was subsequently appointed Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in October 2009 and served as Deputy Federal Chairman of the CDU from 2010 to 2012.

Since January 2014, Dr Röttgen has chaired the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee.
